April Shower April Shower

Rated 4 / 5 stars

I find this song perfect for a background to a peaceful part of a video game. Say like a peaceful meadow in a Fable game in the middle of a dark forest where you find some gear that adds to your attractiveness or requires purity or the like.

Mellow, easy, and peaceful. My only critique is that it doesn't have enough variation.

Man... I love this. It makes me think of a great intro to an RPG with the camera rolling through the landscape of fields with the grass swaying in the wind. Seeing the castles and heroes. And being introduced to a vast world you are about to embark into.

5/5 man good job!

This is truly a great piece of composition. I would call it... "Melodic Death Metal" for sure. Reminds me of Amon Amarth in a big way.

4.5 stars only because I feel there is not a real climatic arch to the song.

thanks for the review brother! i agree with the climatic arch thing though... cant argue with that.

Solid. Definitely brings up memories of when Disturbed was the #1 metal band.

Only 4 stars because of lack of climactic arch.

even as djent goes... this is mediocre at best.... a continuous part of why djent is not well recieved with metalheads.

This is a nice bit of Pop-Metal, but too repetitive. This song needs variety in a bad way.

BERSERKYD responds:

Yep could be better. But it was not meant to be too progressive. 3 star fare enough! Thanks for the review !

This is not what I would call Metal... Its good for a Electronica, but it is not metal.

2/5 for genre mis-label.

I definitely get the "Intro Credits" feel from this. For an anime, or some sort of action/fantasy cartoon or video game.

However, I think that this song's only downfall is the massive switch of feel in a such a sort amount of time, instead of a "ABCA" style it seems to go "ABCDCBDA" or something of the ilk.

A solid 4/5

This is not my taste, but I can tell the right type of audience would dig it.

For me it is too slow and too repetitive, but for other it would be good "space out" music.

Fubaka responds:

That's okay. I make this stuff knowing full well it won't be for everyone.

Space Out is an apt term, since this song literally represents a scene in deep space.

Thanks for reviewing.
